One of Hulen’s three founding partners, Randy began his oilfield career at age 16 as a roughneck on the family’s drilling rigs and later developed independent drilling and operating activities under the Hulen name. His decades of drilling and operating experience across the Mid-Continent have shaped Hulen’s practical, hands-on approach to oil and gas development.
Hulen recognizes three founding partners: Hulen H. “Tobe” Pruitt, Larry Hulen Pruitt and Randy P. Pruitt. In 1976, Hulen H. “Tobe” Pruitt and Larry Hulen Pruitt established L&T Oil and Gas. Randy P. Pruitt began his career working on the family’s drilling rigs and later developed independent drilling and operating activities under the Hulen name.
Randy’s father. In 1976, Tobe Pruitt and Larry Pruitt established L&T Oil and Gas, beginning a family legacy in the energy industry. He started his career when drilling rigs were still built of wood and was known for hard work, competence and integrity.
Randy’s brother. Larry and Tobe went into business together as L&T Oil and Gas in 1976, and the family drilled wells together from the start, beginning with the Willa Ellis.
